windows xp - Finding long file names? -

I have some zipped plug-ins, when I try to open that unpacking fails. When I looked deep into it, I found out that some files are more than 256 characters, which I think is not allowed in Windows operating system.

So my question is, to find out if any file name is more than 256 characters inside a particular folder?

I am using the WINDOWS XP operating system.

Thanks in advance thanks! !

If your zip file is a little hard to know without The problem is that what you said ... the AFA remembers, the 7 zip had reduced long file names, not "remove" them, but I have no zip with the long name for the test.

I will try a few things:

  1. Open the zip file with 7zip and try

  2. Try opening a zip file with other ZIP apps, like (izarc) [http://www.izarc.org/ News.html], and rename the file

  3. < P> If you do not have access to another computer, try using one of the available online unipplers for example:
