URL rewriting going from www.example.com/blog/blog.php to just www.example.com/blog/ -

I have a site in the blog section to get me to www.example.com/blog/blog.php and I would like to use www.example.com/blog/ Folder structure I have a blog.php inside a folder called blog, can I rewrite blog.php and add the blog to the top level?
